Vegan Tofu and Mix Veggei Dumplings!!


Dumplings… they are by far one of the most popular foods around the world. And one of my personal favorites!  When these dumplings are vegan and gluten-free but can be enjoyed even more guilt-free!! Tried gluten-free Rice flour wraps do it thede vegan dumplings.

Vegan dumplings filled with tofu, Red  Cabbage,  Onion, Cilantro, and minced  Garlic and Ginger. The filling is very flavorsome and moist. The homemade vegan gluten-free Rice Flour Wrappers have a lovely soft texture. They are so fresh and super tasty, simply irresistible!

These steamed dumplings include tofu so you get a healthy dose of plant-based protein. Served with a savory dipping sauce, I dare you not to eat them all in one sitting! 

Homemade dumplings might not be the quickest food to make, but there’s nothing difficult about it either. A little patience, some music or TV on in the background, and if you’re lucky some dumpling-shaping company, and you’ll have them done before you know it!

I have also made the homemade savory dip for these dumplings and trust me it tastes so heavenly delicious 😋 My daughter and hubby just enjoyed these dumplings!! 

So let's jump to the recipe!!

INGREDIENTS

FOR DOUGH:

 2 cup of water

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp oil.

2 cup of rice flour

FOR STUFFING:

3 tsp oil 

3 clove garlic, finely chopped

1-inch ginger, finely chopped

1 chili, finely chopped

4 tbsp spring onion, 

1 onion, finely chopped

1 cup Red cabbage, finely chopped

2 tbsp capsicum, chopped

1 cup firm tofu pressed and grated 

1 tsp pepper, crushed 

1/2 tsp salt .. add all the ingredients and prepare a stuffing.

Method :

Stuffing is ready.

Vegan rice flour dumpling wraps preparation:

In a large vessel take 2 cups of water, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 tsp oil mix well and get the water to a boil.
Next, add 2 cup rice flour and mix gently. Mix until the rice flour absorbs all the water. Cover and rest for 5 minutes.
Now transfer to a large bowl and start to knead the dough. Wet your hand to prevent from burning. Knead for 5 minutes or until the dough turns soft.
knead the dough again slightly and pinch a small ball sized dough and roll thin.
Place a tbsp of prepared tofu stuffing in centre ,start covering the stuffing by pressing both the edges in a gujiya shape.
Seal both the edges  and secure tight.
Heat a steamer and arrange the dumplings in the tray without touching each other.
Steam dumplingsfor 10 -12minutes 
Vegan tofu and mix veggei  dumplings  are ready to enjoy with savory hot chutney.
