Vegan Gluten Free Sorghum Flour Banana Bread!!

Easy, delicious and vegan banana bread made with mashed banana, sorghum flour or jowar flour. 

This bread is so good my daughter just loved it . Happy baby and Happy mommy🥰 This  can be served as a sweet snack or breakfast. I have used chocolate chips and rolled oatsfor topping. You can use any nuts if your choice. 

I wanted to make a millet cake for the longest time but was skeptical about it and finally yesterday I decided to give it a shot and and it turned out to be perfect in the first attempt and I was super excited so thought to share it immediately. 

This easy to make cake recipe involves no special tools/ hand blender yet results in soft cake with a very common ingredients.

 A piece of cake and a cup of good coffee (or tea) has a mood enhancing power on the most dreary of afternoons.

So without wasting much time let's jump to o the recipe:


 Ingredients:

4 ripe bananas

1/4 cup wood pressed coconut oil

1/4 cup jaggery powder

1 tsp vanilla essence

1 tsp cinnamon powder

1/2 cup cashew milk

1/4 tsp pink Himalayan salt

1 1/4 cups of jowar atta (sorghum)

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

3 tbsp old fashioned rolled oats

3 tbsp dark chocolate chips

1 tsp organic vinegar 

Toppings:

1 tbsp rolled oats

1 tbsp chocolate chips



Method:
Preheat the oven to 350  degree F.

Grease a bread tin with some coconut oil and line a parchment paper.

Making Banana Bread Batter:
 
Take sliced bananas and  in a mixing bowl.Mash the bananas well.
Now add the coconut oil,  jaggery, vanilla, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon powder,  to the banana and mix well.
Sieve the slightly roasted sorghum flour with the baking soda, baking powder, salt  cashew milk directly in the bowl containing the mashed bananas.Fold the sieved flour really well.
This folding step is important as you want the whole bread mixture to be one and mixed evenly.
Lastly add the rolled oats and chocolate chips fold these.

Pour the bread mixture into the loaf pan.

Now bake it for 40 minutes in the core heater oven.

Take out the bread let it cool then cut it in a slice and enjoy!!!
